This stage goes amid pleasant fields and the exuberant forests around the ruins of Gýmeš Castle at the top of the Trebíč mountains.

Nová Baňa – Hronský Beňadik
If you want to stay overnight in Hronský Beňadik, which you should, follow the red sign up to Veľký Inovec saddle and Veľký Inovec mountain refuge. From the refuge, follow the yellow sign downhill through the forest to Tekovské Nemce and Hronský Beňadik.
Hronský Beňadik – Topoľčianky
From Hronský Beňadik we set out to the west, to the village of Tekovská Breznica. At Obycké lúky take the blue trail down to the village of Machulince and Topolčianky.
Košice – Chata Lajoška
This stage starts in downtown Košice and leaves the city following hiking trails leading mostly uphill into the surrounding mountains and forests.

Spišské Podhradie – Levoča
Today you will again need to climb some mountains along field ways and asphalt roads. Do not rush through the Jerusalem of Spiš at the very beginning of the route, or through Marianska Hora just above today’s goal. Levoča is a major UNESCO World Heritage Site, so you might consider staying one full day visiting the must-sees and taking a break before hitting the road again.
